The Rolleicord Va is a classic, medium-format twin-lens reflex (TLR) film camera manufactured by Franke & Heidecke (Rollei) in Germany between 1957 and 1961.

Built-in X-synchronised flash socket.

The Tessar style lens Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 75mm f/3.5  is sharp, and free of haze or fungus. As expected, some minor circular cleaning marks., these marks will not affect the picture.

The aperture and the shutter blades are clean and responsive.

The focus is smooth and accurate with both lenses correctly aligned.

The viewfinder is fitted with a recent ultra-bright screen making viewing and composing sharper , brighter, and easier than the original.

The film transport is precise and reliable.

Cosmetically clean with only minor signs of age, as highlighted on the pictures provided. (we never try to hide or remove any cosmetic issues like paint loss, scrubs or scratches on the body, as we think they belong to the camera after years of handling. We restore cameras to be used again and again).

What we have done, a full overhaul of the camera including:

• Front lens assembly stripped down.

• Top hood, focusing screen and mirror disassembled and cleaned, with a focusing screen replacement.

• Full shutter stripped down, cleaned, lubricated and calibrated as  close as possible to the stated speeds.

• Transport film disassembled, cleaned and lubricated following Rolleiflex standard.

• Viewing lens and taking lens have been adjusted.

Film tested: We have fully film tested the camera with an Ilford HP5+ film to confirm accurate image count, frame spacing and lens sharpness and focusing.
